Meet the Manager:
How long have you worked for nShift?
I’ve joined the company as a Technical Engineering Manager in March 2024, having returned from Ireland after 5 years at the IoT SaaS branch of Verizon.
What do you love about nShift?
What I love is the flexibility of working remotely in the truest sense of the word. Another aspect that I think sets this company apart is that everyone has a voice, and everyone is encouraged to share their points of view and have healthy, mature discussions that are respectful, even if points of view do not align.
I am also grateful to my team, the support and solidarity they have shown to one another, and the collaboration of my peers.
What would your current team members say about your leadership or manager style?
I would say that my management style is micromanaging averse, highly empathetic and ‘no nonsense’ oriented. I view my team member as being my number one stakeholders as they ‘pay’ me with their work, and in return, I abdicate my own self-interest in favor of their development and wellbeing.
What difference will this role make to nShift if I join?
This is more than a ‘keep the lights on and the doors open’ position. As with every team member of the Central Carrier team, there is room for growth, dedicated learning time, and a chance to explore other areas with creative license. This role is crucial as the Central Carrier Team is the bedrock of our business and drives nShift’s success as the largest Carrier Library company globally.
At nShift, we believe in embracing diversity in all forms and fostering an inclusive environment for everyone, which we believe is essential for our continued success. We're an equal opportunity employer, meaning all applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran, neurodiversity, or disability status.
