Why does my Roomba keep saying the bag is full? ›

If Roomba® continues to indicate the bin is full after you have emptied the bin, it means you have not thoroughly cleaned the bin full sensors and/or the sensor ports. After you have cleaned all six full bin sensors and ports, it may be necessary to clear the error by rebooting the robot.

Remove the Bin from the Roomba and set it aside. Look inside the robot where the Dust Bin was, and locate 2 black rectangular sensors on either side of the robot. Wipe the inner wall of these sensors with a clean, dry microfiber or soft cotton cloth.

While cleaning, your robot will automatically return to the dirt disposal to empty its bin and recharge as needed. The dirt disposal's LED indicator will turn solid red when a new bag is needed.

If the red full bin indicator is illuminated or blinking, it means Roomba® senses that the bin is full.

The Clean Base™ disposal dirt bag also acts as a filter. Therefore, while the material does a great job of holding in dust and debris, it also has pores that allow air to travel through.

Hold down the "Clean" button, or press and hold the "Home" and "Spot Clean" buttons at the same time (depending on your model). If a reboot doesn't work, open the iRobot Home app, go to "Settings," and then "Remove/Factory Reset" for a full reset.

Why is my Roomba charging base not working? ›

If you discover that your Roomba won't charge, start by cleaning the metal charging contacts on the Roomba and charging station. You should also clean the wheels to ensure the Roomba isn't riding too high to reach the contacts on the charging station.

If you need to perform a reboot your s Series Roomba®, you can do so by starting with the robot off and Press the CLEAN button for 10 seconds.

The light on the dock should turn on four (4) seconds when the robot is correctly aligned with the contacts. This may require some wiggling to get the alignment correct. If the light on the dock does not turn on, then the dock does not recognize the robot and the dock needs to be replaced.
