Summary
- The 2025 CFMoto 675SS brings a unique design and impressive features to the middleweight sports bike segment.
- The 675SS boasts a triple-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 95 horsepower and 51.6 pound-feet of torque.
- Adjustable suspension, low curb weight, and an under $8,000 cost make the 675SS a solid middleweight sports bike option.
In the sports bike world, CFMoto has been primarily known for its high-quality entry-level bikes like the 450 SR and 300 SR (450SS and 300SS in the US). But last year, the Chinese giant made some solid headlines when it teased its inline-four and triple-cylinder sports bikes. These teasers eventually birthed the 500SR Voom and 675SR, both of which broke cover in 2024.
Now, as suspected, the latter has entered America as part of the company’s 2025 US lineup. It’s been renamed to 675SS and bears an extremely competitive price tag, lower than all of its arch-rivals. Here’s everything you need to know.

The 2025 CFMoto 675SS Has A Distinct Design
We’ve seen several doppelganger sports bikes from China that try to mimic the Ducati Panigale V4 or BMW S 1000 RR. But just like other CFMotos, the SS does its own thing. Up top, it flexes a unique fascia, comprising chunky LED headlights and sleek LED DRLs. These are bejeweled into a muscular top cowl that also houses a sweeping windscreen and chunky mirrors (with integrated turn signals).
In the middle, you get a set of muscular fairings and an equally brawny fuel tank. The former, in particular, is quite out-of-the-box as it houses internal air channels and comes standard with frame sliders. All this paves the way for the minimalistic tail section. Here, the highlight is the LED tail lamp with integrated turn signals, mounted onto the fender like bigger sports bikes (we’re looking at you, S 1000 RR). So if you put a tail tidy, you’ll likely need a new tail lamp, too.
You can have the 675 in two color options: Nebula Black and Nebula White. The former drapes the bike in a black-gray finish, complete with black wheels and a light gray saddle. Whereas, the latter comprises a mix of white and black on the bodywork, alongside cyan-blue wheels. We dig the white option more but feel free to disagree.
There’s No Shortage Of Features On The CFMoto 675SS
While views on the design can be highly subjective, you can’t question whether the 675SS has an impressive feature list. The centerpiece here is a five-inch TFT instrument cluster, complete with smartphone connectivity, a tire pressure managing system, lap timer, and over-the-air updates. A USB type-C port is also present to juice up your devices.
As for rider aids, CFMoto hasn’t gone overboard. You get two-mode traction control, dual-channel ABS, and an up-only quickshifter. The gear-shift pattern is reversible, just like the 450SS–something track aficionados will appreciate. Yes, bits like cornering ABS and ride modes are missing, but hey, these aren’t deal-breakers.

The CFMoto 675SS Boasts A Triple-Cylinder, Liquid-Cooled Powerhouse
Under the skin, the SS hides a new 675cc, triple-cylinder engine. Liquid cooling, cobalt alloy valves, forged pistons, and low inertia crankshaft are all present, allowing an output of 95 horsepower and 51.6 pound-feet. This is sent to the wheel via a six-speed transmission.
At this output, the 675 is right in the ballpark of the Triumph Daytona 660 and Honda CBR650R. At the same time, it’s well clear of Japanese twin-cylinder offerings like the Suzuki GSX-8R and Yamaha YZF-R7. However, we’re still slightly disappointed, considering CFMoto promised “over 100 HP” while teasing its three-cylinder sports bike.

Adjustable Suspension And A Low Curb Weight Round Off The CFMoto 675SS’ Package
Next, let’s talk underpinnings. CFMoto has built the 675SS around a steel chassis, paired with a bespoke subframe and gullwing-type swingarm. This is topped by 41 mm KYB upside-down forks and monoshock. Both ends join hands with 17-inch cast wheels and offer adjustability to suit all riding styles. Braking, meanwhile, is via 320 mm front and 240 mm rear discs. J.Juan calipers bite all rotors, which should provide enough power to slow down this rather light sports bike.

All of the above details make the 675SS a capable middleweight sports bike. But the USP is its mind-boggling MSRP, as CFMoto has priced the 675SS at just $7,999. At this price, the motorcycle undercuts the Triumph Daytona 660 by ~$1,200, the Suzuki GSX-8R by $1,440, and the Honda CBR650R by $1,900. In fact, that price is just $600 more than Honda’s 500cc sports bike, the CBR500R!
However, as always, the big question mark is CFMoto’s reliability, parts availability, and aftermarket support. Especially when you consider all of its rivals come from well-established brands known for their extreme reliability. Not to mention, this is a brand-new engine by the bikemaker and the US is one of the first markets to receive it. We all know the risks of buying first-lot bikes, don’t we?
